The Kwazulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 11 of the NEMA, published the Environmental Implementation plan (“EIP”).
The EIP identifies the policies, plans and programmes within each of the provincial and relevant national departments and local government that could have significant impacts on the environment, and indicates measures that departments are already putting into plan or plan to put into place to improve their environmental performance and co-operative governance.
